A PLACE CALLED FRIENDS

I am a man bound by emotion, so I tend to cause commotion,

I am a man bound by emotion, so I must exercise caution,

So when shall I let it flow like lotion into the ocean?

I think I must refuse it and do abortion.

She moves her eyebrows like the waves of the ocean

And when she is around me, she exercises caution

Her skin is dark as if scorched by the sun,

She moves with style, she provides so much fun,

But when you approach her, she produces a gun,

And says ‘Hands up, you better run,’

And I reply and say you have won.

To a place called FRIENDS I ran, I ran

I arrived and there she stood,

Looking beautiful in a big, black hood,

Can I touch your hand if I could?

And whisper a word and make you feel good,

‘Don’t touch me, you are being rude,’

Little did I know, I spoiled your mood.

Now I am bound by emotion, trying to exercise caution,

I brought it into motion and now I have lost you, abortion

I am infectious like foot and mouth,

That’s why I decided to move out south,

But now I see my error, I filled you with terror.

I am bound by emotion and so I social distance sometimes,

But the music and the talks, I did enjoy,

Forgive me for acting like a boy.

How I wish I could make amends, yet I scattered you like the sands

Like the tattoo on your hands, don’t cut me off.

A good friendship it will be, making amends is the thing,

A good friend I found, but I kicked you out like a dog to the pound

So please I apologize and I hope you like how it sound.
